This apron tutorial from Feeling Stitchy actually features a free hand embroidery design on the pocket, but you could speed things up by placing a machine embroidery design there instead. This little Pumpkin Bear Design would be very cute.

Urban Threads has dozens of fun machine embroidery tutorials for every occasion, including several great Halloween decoration and costume ideas. I especially like this cool 3-D lace chandelier embellished with black glitter. It would be fun to make several to hang from the mantle or over the table for a Halloween party.

Pillow Wraps

Change up your everyday throw pillows by stitching these cute Halloween pillow wraps with burlap accents. Burlap is popping up everywhere nowadays, especially for fall sewing projects, and this is a really fun way to combine it with machine embroidery. Find the tutorial to make both wrap options here.

Happy Halloween stitching!
