Supplies
Timber Lane Toasty Toes slipper pattern
Yardage and notions listed on pattern
1/3 yard of 45"-wide white fabric
9"x12" pink washable felt piece
Tear-away stabilizer
Two 1/2"-diameter white pompoms
Lightweight polyester batting
Paper-release fusible web
Fabric or craft glue
Embroidery, bobbin and sewing thread
Embroidery design on your choice for face and beard/hair
Embroidery
Hoop the white fabric and batting and embroider the allover design
for Santa's beard and hair. Repeat the steps to make a second set.
Hoop the pink felt with tear-away stabilizer and embroider two faces.
Construction
Note: The measurements given are for size small slippers; adjust
for larger sizes.
Trace the toe of the slipper pattern 5" deep at the center front (A).
Use that pattern to cut two beard pieces from the embroidered white
fabric.
Cut two pink ovals for faces using the pattern (B), centering
the embroidery on each.
Cut two red fleece hats using the pattern (C).
Press under 1/4" at the upper edge of the white embroidered fabric
and position on the slipper toe. Slide 1/4" of the hat lower edge under
the pressed edge. Edgestitch the upper fabric pressed edge in place
securing the hat in the stitching; continue stitching the toe edges
together.
Finish constructing the slipper following to the pattern guidesheet.
Glue a pompom to the hat point underside and tack the hat to the slipper
1 1/2" below the point.
