Happy Thursday! Today we have a fun prize package to help you get started on all of your holiday embroidery projects. We’re giving away a very handy pair of double-curved embroidery scissors from Havel’s Sewing as well as two spools of metallic embroidery floss from Brother in silver and gold:
The scissors make it super easy to reach over the machine hoop while keeping your fingers away from the surface, and the metallic thread will add festive sparkle to embroidered ornaments or other decorations! To enter, just answer the following question in the comments section below: What holiday embroidery projects are you making this year?
Answer by tomorrow afternoon, and we’ll randomly draw from among all the commenters. Good luck!

Going to make the Christmas stocking with teddy bears, in this month’s issue. Also the twelve days of Christmas table runner for the daughters.
My mom and I are both new to machine embroidery, and are teaming up to make an embroidered wall quilt. The quilt features a holiday snow scene, and is created by embroidering 5×7 panels and then sewing them together to make a large quilt. It’s a chance for us to work together on a project, use our new embroidery machines, and learn how to hoop, change threads, … Just selecting the various threads to use was an experience in itself!
Covers for Christmas Tree balls is my project. Love them and they are so delicate and pretty yet so easy to make. Friends loved getting them last year and requested more for this year.
