Christmas
My favorite occasion is when I make something special for someone who is going through cancer. It is usually a seatbelt pillow for those with a medi-port for receiving chemo to keep the seatbelt from rubbing on the port area when inserted in the chest; a breast cancer pillow to keep the underarm from touching the breast area; or a drainage tube holder so the person doesn’t have to have the tube “bulb” pinned to their clothing. It is a glorious feeling to be able to do these things all throughout the year and not just for a holiday. All recipients are grateful and I am thankful that I can do this for them.
Valentine’s Day. It is soooo romantic.
I like to make mostly things for the winter season.
Special designs for my grandchildren ages 4(girl) and 8 months (boy).
I like to try new designs and add to them with special fabrics.
My grandchildrens’ birthdays as I can personalize something unique just for them.
My favorite occasion/holiday is always the next one. Whichever celebration is next is always a good time to stir up some creativity and make something special.
I love to sew for all the holidays. But Christmas is the one that gets most of the attention.
Any chance to embroidery for another person is the best day occasion. Emmaus women prayer scarfs.
I love to make things for Easter for my babies and grandbabies. It is so good to see them all dressed up for Church in something I made for them.
My favorite occasion to sew a project is for a birthday gift. It is special just for that person and on that person’s special day!
I think Everyday is a holiday! But if I had to pick I would say christmas.
I love making birthday and Christmas gifts for family and friends.
I love to make things for my grandchildren so every holiday I make something for them.
babies of course, so many cute things they need.
I like to sew for other people who are getting married, having babies. Also for family and friends for birthday’s and Christmas. I like to give my work away for other to enjoy.
I love to sew for Christmas. I enjoy making something new for the many people on my christmas list and making pillowcases for shut-ins.
Anytime love and encouragement are needed by family or friends.
I like to make things for Christmas, Halloween, birthdays and any time I can call a special day for someone that needs a pick me up or someone who needs to know they are loved. It is always a great feeling to see someone’s eyes light up when they know you took time to make something special just for them. Then the person knows they are special! It is a great feeling to know you created a special feeling in someone else. I also enjoy sewing for my grandkids. They enjoy all things created for them!
love making Christmas itelms. love the FSL and lots of novelty items but always do shirts and home dec items. Need to get some great ideas for Summer and get started. Have done Valentines, St. Patty’s and have Easter all done too. bring on Summer!!!
I’m new to machine embroidery. It seems like everyday is a great occasion to make some thing! I do however like to make gifts, so I would say the best occasions are birthdays of Family and Friends.
I like all holidays and until recently, I had only Christmas and Easter decorations. I have been creating home decorations for all holidays, even if it is only mug rugs. When I make something for me, I also make one and send to my Mom who lives in Florida.
My favorite time to sew is when I have a group of people together and we all learn and laugh together. I love showing a student how to make something and then to see their face when it’s complete. I’m a school librarian and when I find the book and we complete the project, they are sold on reading more! Hey, for DIY and sewing!
Christmas
well, I would have to say that Christmas is my best holiday to sew for. I love making gifts for all my family.
Definitely Christmas. I like Christmas designs and making non-seasonal items as well.
Favorite Holiday to sew for? Easy. Thanksgiving. It encompasses all of the rich beauty of Fall.
I like to make spur of the moment gifts for people for no particular reason. Sometimes I will see a fabric, pattern, or design that reminds me of that person. Then go about creating a gift for them.

Christmas!!!
LOVE CHRISTMAS.
I enjoy sewing for Christmas. Making gifts for close love ones, and I usually adopt a child and add a fun quilt to go along with “his/hers” Christmas list.
CHRISTMASSo many to choose from. Angels, nativities, to teddy bears and Santas. Ornaments and appliques —— the choices are endless.
Christmas and babies
CHRISTMAS. There are so many to choose from. Angels to teddy bears, lace , ornaments, Christian, whinsical, the choices are endless.
My favorite occassion to sew for is ANY occassion that I can sew!! Any day that I can sew and be creative is a good day, I especially love sewing for people who really appreciate the love that goes into the sewing gifts that I give! And now my 4 year old grandson is learning to sew with me and that is a real joy as well! His first “all by myself” project was a thread bowl stitche from directions on Sew It All when Eric Drexler was a guest. When Eric did the thread bowl it was actually made with small scraps of fabrics that had been cut up, but I keep a container behind my sewing machine and save all of the threads that are cut off from various projects (especially the great embroidery threads) and my grandson always loves to look at all the great colors of the threads, so this was a perfect opportunity to let him use all of those colors! His thread bowl has now taken up residence on our fireplace mantel for all to enjoy!
I love sewing for Christmas and gifts for any occassion. I like to sew anything that will give someone else pleasure.
Christmas! So many wonderful things to make for so many wonderful people:)
Christmas. I love making something special for friends and family that reflects their personality.
I am just getting back into sewing after a long hiatus so I would say that Everyday is just a perfect holiday to do machine embroidery!
My favorite time to sew is when I’m creating gifts for other people, regardless of the occasion. A little extra embroidery added to the project can take it from the “nice” to the extraordinary. People seem to really appreciate that little extra effort.
Christmas is definitely my favorite! I love doing all sorts of things for gifts, decorations, clothing, etc.
Any day is special for me when i can create something for someone! But mostly for my grand babies birthdays, holidays or just to say I love you!
Every holiday! But I like birthdays – it gives me a chance to make something special for that one person.
I absolutely love Christmas. I love to make all my friends and family something special. Of course I have to work on them throughout the whole year!!!
