Keep kids busy this summer with Baby Lock’s annual Summer Kids’ Clubhouse Program. Participating Baby Lock retailers will be offering week-long programs for children ages 8 to 13 can learn a variety of sewing techniques and create five projects. This hands-on sewing program is designed as an exciting alternative to the typical children’s summer camps. Each year, Baby Lock educators create a curriculum of three week-long themed programs to entice young sewers to learn to the art of sewing. Retailers can choose which programs they’d like to offer. The themes for 2011 include: “Which Way to the Beach?” projects, such as beach bag and water bottle holder; “Quilted Travel Accessories” projects, such as a quilted tote and jewelry holder; and “Pajama Party” projects, such as a pillowcase and backpack. Ask your local Baby Lock retailer about the program, or visit babylock.com to find a retailer near you.

I’d love for these projects to be available for purchase! I have several grandchildren who would like to do them, but they aren’t with me (and there isn’t a Babylock dealer close)…
