This week the designers had to create looks suitable for a high-fashion advertorial. They were given two days (one day more than usual) and $300 for fabric and notions to complete their looks. The best part–the challenge winner would get $20,000 cash! Some designers took advantage of the extra time and took time planning and constructing their looks, while others worked fastly, anticipating a twist! And as always there was a twist: they had to create a second ready-to-wear companion of the high-fashion look. Cue the freak outs! After a talk with Tim, Valerie high-tails it to the bathroom and freaks out because she wasted time. After a pep talk from Ivy and Gretchen, Valerie gets back to work. The designers manage to pull it together and complete their looks and strut their designs down the runway. The top three were Gretchen, Mondo and Andy and Valerie, Ivy and Michael C. Mondo were at the bottom. Mondo won the challenge and $20,000 and poor Ivy was sent home.
