• Place the facing pattern piece over the embroidered fabric, matching the outline and design placements. Add ¾" beyond the front and back facing lower edges (not the neckline edge); cut out (H).

• Sew the facings with right sides together at the shoulder seams. Sew the garment front to the garment back with right sides together at the shoulder seams. Pin the facing along the neck edge. Sew as indicated by the pattern guidesheet, cutting a slit to create the V-neck. Grade the seams and clip the curves.
• Press the stitched seams.Turn the facing to the front, pressing again so the facing rolls slightly to the inside. Understitch close to stitched edge on the garment side of the seam.
• Decide where the embroidered facing should end (approximately ¼" to 3 ⁄8" from the embroidery). Draw a line to indicate the facing end. Pin, and then straight stitch the facing to the garment using monofilament thread. Carefully trim away the excess facing seam allowance using appliqué scissors.
• Using embroidery thread in the needle and bobbin, satin stitch the facing to the garment, following the previous stitching line. Place lightweight tear-away stabilizer under the seam.
• Complete the garment following the pattern guidesheet.
