We spend so much time worrying about what to gift others during the holidays, and we rarely take the time to think about what we want...and deserve! So I ask, "What's on your gift list?" Perhaps you need a pair of sharp embroidery scissors. Or maybe this is the year to upgrade your machine or software. And a new design collection would sure be nice. There are several ways to drop hints to your friends and family. But I find the best way, albeit passive-aggressive, is to make them something and tell them how much better it would've been if it were made with a new _________ (insert item from wish list here). Hopefully they'll get the hint! Or you could certainly tell him/her outright, especially if you're dealing with a spouse or partner who never seems to comprehend your sly little hints.

We've certainly taken your hints to heart. Over the course of this year, we've asked for your feedback, and you've told us what you want to see in upcoming issues of CME. We value your feedback and strive to continually offer you the best content to inspire your creativity. To those of you who keep requesting more free designs, we're listening. There are a whopping 40 free designs offered in the pages of this issue! My personal favorites: 12 designs that are used embellish a cute seasonal table runner. Reuse the designs to create personalized stockings, gift tags, a festive sweatshirt or jacket...the possibilities are endless. And don't forget the in-the-hoop stocking. Easily create one for everyone on your gift list.

Whether you've been naughty or nice, I hope you get what you wish for this holiday season!

Eat, Sew & Be Merry,
