What are your greatest April Fool’s pranks?
I’m superstitious, so I rarely participate in the tomfoolery that happens on April 1. I do, however, like watching other people involved in a big ruse. It’s fun to see the expressions on people’s faces when they realize they’ve been tricked. It’s a nice change from everyday monotony, for sure.
To celebrate the fun of April Fool’s Day, we’re offering a free April Fool’s breakfast embroidery design at cmemag.com/free_designs/index.html. Download the design in the format of your choice and surprise your friends and family with embroidered bacon and eggs instead of the real thing! I suggest cooking real bacon on the stovetop so the smell wafts through the house first. Why not add to the fun?
If you have another idea for a sewing- or embroidery-related prank that’s all in fun, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your idea could be featured in an upcoming issue and, if so, you’ll win a fabulous embroidery prize!
Speaking of prizes, be sure to enter our Scavenger Hunt contest on page 10. In each 2011 CME issue there are new questions to answer, new clues to find and new prizes to win. Enter once a day every day to increase your chances of winning.
For even more chances to win, e-mail your tried-and-true embroidery pointers to email@example.com for a chance to be published in our “Tips & Tricks” column. If your letter is chosen for publication, you’ll receive a great prize valued at $25.
With all sorts of prizes up for grabs, you might as well try your hand at one or all of the options. Or just sit back, relax and enjoy the issue. Whether you’re redecorating a room, refashioning your wardrobe or re-energizing your spirit, you’ll find a project, technique or tip to help you along.
